Heat wave reached in Boston, Providence, Hartford

The high temperature eclipsed 90° for the third straight day at three of the four major climatology sites in Southern New England. Boston, Providence, and Hartford all topped 90° by early afternoon on Tuesday, July 16, 2013.

It is the second heat wave of the month, and third heat wave of the summer in Boston and Hartford. It is the second heat wave this summer (both in July) in Providence. The temperature has reached 90° at all three sites 8 out of 16 days in July.
