Locally heavy rain likely through tonight

It has been a very soggy Thursday in Eastern CT with the doppler radar estimating 1-2″ of rain from Fenwick north to Danielson. Showers were blossoming over RI and SE MA during the early afternoon, and locally heavy downpours are likely for the rest of the day into early Friday morning. Some areas may pick up more than 3″ of rain, leading to poor drainage street flooding. The heaviest rain is likely to occur between midnight and dawn on Friday. The storm will move fairly quickly, and will be out of the picture by midday Friday.
