A storm system cutting through the Great Lakes Monday morning will drop into Southern New England Monday night. The best chance of rain is near the coast and in western Southern New England. Some showers may be heavy, and thunderstorms are possible. It will stay mild and muggy, with lows in the mid to upper 60s.
Showers may linger a bit on Tuesday, especially near the coast. Tuesday afternoon will become partly sunny with the chance of a passing shower. Highs will be in the low 80s inland and 70s near the coast. It will stay muggy.
