Frost Advisory for interior SNE Monday night

It is a sign of the times. With less than a week to go until the start of fall there is an October-like airmass heading for Southern New England Monday night into Tuesday. While most of CT, MA, and RI will experience low temperatures in the 40s, there is the possibility of seeing the temperature drop into the low to mid 30s in part of northwest and north central Massachusetts. There may be a frost in those areas, and sensitive vegetation and plants should be harvested, brought in or covered to prevent damage.

The Frost Advisory does not impact any of CT, RI, or SE MA where the temperature is expected to reach the low to mid 40s in the countryside, and mid 40s to low 50s in the cities and near the coast. Another cool night is likely Tuesday as the Canadian high pressure settles overhead.
