Regenerated Gabrielle targets Bermuda as a tropical storm
Don’t call it a comeback. Tropical Storm Gabrielle has regenerated in the Atlantic Ocean 185 miles south of Bermuda and will hit the island Tuesday night with maximum sustained winds expected to be near 50 mph. The storm is expected to bring a storm surge of 2-3 feet, and 2-4 inches of rain to Bermuda along with tropical storm force winds.
Gabrielle will continue moving north before being absorbed by a cold front passing off the Northeast United States coast early this weekend. The storm will become post-tropical as it moves into the the Canadian Maritimes Friday night into Saturday.
