Tropical Storm Jerry forms in Atlantic Ocean

Another non-impact tropical storm has formed in the Atlantic Ocean. Tropical Storm Jerry has winds of 40 mph and is moving east at 9 mph. The storm will likely loop around to the west then northeast in the next several days. It is no threat to land and is expected to stay a weak tropical storm. This is another storm that may not have been classified decades ago before satellite.

27.0 NORTH...LONGITUDE 45.7 WEST. JERRY IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST
NEAR 7 MPH...11 KM/H...AND A SLOW AND ERRATIC MOTION IS EXPECTED
OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 40 MPH...65 KM/H...WITH HIGHER
