PatsCast: Blustery and chilly at Gillette Stadium

The New England Patriots hope to go into their bye week with a win over an unusually mediocre Pittsburgh Steelers team. The game will start at 4:25 pm and effectively becomes a night game since Daylight Saving Time ends the night before. The sunset will be at 4:37 PM. After very mild weather for the Red Sox duck boat parade on Saturday, the weather will take a sharply colder turn for the second half of the weekend. In addition, the wind will be gusty out of the north-northwest blowing through the open end of the stadium. The wind may have an impact on the kicking and passing game. It will also negatively impact the tailgating. 30+ mph gusts are possible in the mid-afternoon. The temperature will be in the 40s during the afternoon and fall into the 30s in the evening. The good news is it will be dry with partly cloudy skies in the afternoon and mainly clear skies at night.
