November 2013 started with a couple of days of very mild weather in Southern New England. It was nearly all downhill from there. The temperature for the month averaged 2.7° colder than normal at TF Green Airport. It was the coldest month of the year relative to normal. It was also the coldest November in Providence since 1997.
There were not a lot of rainy days, but a big storm at the end of the month helped to get the precipitation total to 4.63″ – slightly above normal. There was just a touch of snow (0.1″) on November 12.
Preliminary estimate is November was coldest month (-2.7°) relative to normal in Providence since December 2010.
