High Wind Warning / Wind Advisory for part of SNE

A period of strong sustained winds is likely in coastal Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts on Sunday evening. Peak wind gusts to 50 mph are possible on the Cape and Islands. Peak wind gusts to 45 mph are possible on Block Island and the areas around Narragansett Bay and Buzzards Bay. The strongest winds are expected between 5pm-10pm out of the south-southwest. The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory and High Wind Warning for the areas expected to received the strongest gusts.
