Last-minute Christmas shoppers will have to deal with some unpleasant weather in Southern New England on Monday. Raw and rainy conditions are likely from mid-morning through the afternoon. About one-half inch of rain is likely during the day with temperatures in the 30s to low 40s. There will be a light northerly breeze. The rain will end between 6-8 pm Monday, and the temperature will gradually fall below freezing by late Monday night.
The weather looks quiet and cold for Christmas Eve and Day. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 30s. A few flurries are possible Tuesday evening, otherwise, it will be partly cloudy with lows in the mid to upper teens on Christmas morning. Wednesday will be bright, but cold, with highs only in the mid to upper 20s. There are no big storms in the forecast for the rest of the week.
