Sunday was among the warmest days of the year (relative to normal) in the Eastern United States. Dozens of records were broken as the temperature soared into the 60s and 70s from Mid-Atlantic to Southern New England. Record high temperatures were set at three of the four major climatology sites in Southern New England. Records were broken in Providence and Hartford, and the record was tied at Worcester.
