Snow likely in SNE Tuesday

A disturbance passing south of Southern New England on Tuesday may be strong enough to bring snow to CT, RI, and MA during the day. At this point the forecast is for occasional light to moderate snow – steadiest near the coast in the early afternoon. The wind will be light and temperatures in the low 30s. While not a big storm, it may lead to some hazardous travel in Southeastern New England during the day. The timeframe for the snow is from mid to late morning through late in the afternoon. Here is a first look at the accumulation potential for Southern New England.

Most of Southern New England will see 1-3" of snow on Tuesday. There is the potential for some 4" amounts in the higher terrain of NW RI and E CT

It will turn drier and very cold in the mid to late workweek. Highs may not reach 30° on Thursday and/or Friday. We’re eyeing the potential for another storm over the weekend.
