Brisk and cold on Sunday

The storm system that brought rain and snow to Southern New England on Saturday will move out into the Atlantic Ocean on Sunday. In its wake will be cold and breezy weather on Sunday. There may be patchy black ice in the morning, and the afternoon will be partly to mostly cloudy with the chance of passing flurries.

An Arctic cold front will approach Southern New England on Monday. It will not be an unseasonably cold day with highs in the upper 30s to low 40s. The front should pass late in the day with possible flurries and snow squalls.

There will be a big chill in the middle of the week. The temperature will plummet into the teens Tuesday morning, and it may not make it to 20° on Tuesday afternoon. It will be partly cloudy and breezy with the chance of late snow showers and flurries. Wednesday looks like the coldest day of the week. Lows will be in the single digits, and highs will be in the teens to low 20s.

Light snow is possible on Thursday as a storm system cuts to the south of Southern New England. It will be another unseasonably cold day. Highs will be in the 20s. The cold snap lasts through next weekend.
