Long Range Forecast – March 6

There is simply no long-term end in sight for colder than normal weather in New England. There will be a brief warm-up on Saturday when the temperature may reach 50°, followed by near normal conditions into early next week. After that, however, it’s right back to very cold (for mid-March) weather on most days into early Spring.

We’re watching the potential for snow or mixed precipitation in the middle of next week. The pattern is ripe for something to develop, and there should be enough cold air around for at least some of the storm to be snow in most or all of Southern New England. Overall, the pattern looks a lot more like mid-winter than mid-March. Grin and bear it.
