Snow Accumulation Map for Midweek Storm

This is the forecast snow accumulation map that we first shared with Right Weather Pro members on Saturday. At this point, it looks like a glancing blow from a very intense storm for most of Southern New England. The exception is on Cape Cod and the islands where blizzard conditions and damaging winds are possible.

If the strong storm tracks closer to the coast, then the heavy snow potential and strong winds will shift inland, with Cape Cod and the islands getting hit even harder. If the storm moves a bit farther east than currently projected, it will be a minor event for most of Southeastern New England, and a moderate storm on Cape Cod and the islands.

It looks like snow will develop late Tuesday and continue until mid-morning on Wednesday. The peak winds are likely late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. We’ll continue to keep you updated on this important forecast.
