A Gorgeous Start to June

Skies will be clear Saturday night, and the temperature will fall into the 40s to start the month of June. However, a warm-up begins on Sunday, and highs may make it into the 80s early next week. Sunday will be sunny and delightful, with highs in the low to mid 70s inland, and mid to upper 60s at the Eastern Massachusetts coast due to a 10 mph easterly wind.

It will be pleasant Sunday night. The temperature will fall into the upper 40s to low 50s under clear skies. The wind will swing around to the southwest on Monday. Highs may reach the low 80s inland with plenty of sunshine. It will be about 10 degrees cooler near the coast.

Tuesday also looks like a warm day. An approaching front could trigger a few showers and thunderstorms. At this point, we think that most of that activity will hold off until Tuesday night and Wednesday. Highs will be near 80 inland, and in the 70s near the coast. The persistent southwest breeze may actually bring some muggy weather into RI and SE MA.

The middle of next week will be unsettled with showers and thunderstorms possible Wednesday and Thursday. It will not be terribly cool. Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s.
