Sunny, Breezy, and Warm Mother’s Day

Showers and thunderstorms rolling through Southern New England Saturday night will be out of the picture before dawn on Sunday. The temperature will drop into the mid 50s with some clearing late at night. Mom is sure to be pleased with the Mother’s Day weather in Southern New England. It will be one of the nicest days of the year so far, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the low to mid 70s.

The relatively warm weather will continue into early next week before coming to an abrupt halt by Tuesday. Monday looks partly sunny with highs in the 70s near the coast, and possibly low 80s inland. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible late Monday afternoon and Monday night as a cold front moves south through Southern New England. The party ends as far as warm conditions are concerned by Tuesday, with the temperature struggling to get out of the 50s due to some clouds and a northeast breeze.

It will stay cool through the midweek. Wednesday looks dry with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, and lows near 50. Milder weather returns late in the workweek, but it may be accompanied by showers Thursday and steady rain on Friday.
