Sun and Clouds on Sunday

Summer began with tons of sunshine on Saturday morning. Clouds billowed in the afternoon, and it became mostly cloudy late in the day in interior Southern New England. Any clouds will melt away Saturday night, and the temperature will fall into the low to mid 50s by dawn Sunday.

Sunday morning will be sunny with a quick warm-up through the 60s into the low to mid 70s by noon. Fair weather clouds will billow up during the afternoon, and, at times it could be mostly cloudy inland. A sea breeze will kick in during the afternoon. By late Sunday afternoon the temperature will be in the mid to upper 70s inland, and low 70s near the coast. The dew point will stay in the 50s, which means it will not be humid.

Sunday night will be mainly clear and comfortable, with lows in the low to mid 50s. The weather will stay nice early next week. Monday looks mostly sunny with highs in the low 80s inland, and in the 70s at the coast. There will be a 10-15 mph southerly breeze. It will gradually get more humid into the midweek. Tuesday will be partly sunny and warm, with highs in the low to mid 80s inland, and mid to upper 70s at the coast. There will be some clouds developing Tuesday afternoon, but rain should not threaten.

An approaching cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday. It will be a warm and muggy day, with lows in the 60s, and highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s. The best chance of showers and storms is in the afternoon and evening.
