Breezy, Warm, and Dry on Sunday

Winds stayed active on Saturday in the wake of Arthur after the storm moved into Eastern Canada early in the day. The wind will diminish to 5-10 mph Saturday night under clear skies. The temperature will fall into the upper 50s to low 60s, making it a comfortable and dry night.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and warm, but not humid. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s. The wind will pick up out of the west-southwest to 15-25 mph in the afternoon. The dew point will be in the 50s – rather comfortable for early July.

Humidity will gradually increase early next week as the wind turns southwest. Monday looks partly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 80s inland, and low 80s near the coast. There will be a 10-25 mph southwest wind. The dew point will climb into the low to mid 60s, making it feel a bit warmer.

It will stay very muggy through the middle of the week. Tuesday looks partly cloudy with lows in the upper 60s to low 70s, and highs in the upper 80s inland, and low 80s at the coast. There is a slight chance of a thunderstorm on Tuesday.

An approaching cold front could trigger showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and/or Thursday. It will be warm and muggy on Wednesday. Thursday may not be as warm if the front kicks off shower and storms by midday. As with may summer-time cold fronts, there is the possibility that rain is widely scattered, and it’s possible both days are mainly dry.

Looking ahead to late in the week, less-humid weather will arrive on Friday, and the weather looks nice into next weekend.
