Dry and cold weather will continue on Saturday in Southern New England. The low temperature Saturday morning will range from the mid teens inland to the low 20s near the coast under mainly clear skies. It will be sunny early before clouds tend to increase through day. The high temperature will only be in the low to mid 30s.
The temperature will rise after midnight Saturday night into Sunday as the wind shifts to the south. It may reach the mid 40s by dawn on Sunday, especially from the coast to Providence. Further inland, it may stay in the 30s overnight. A few rain showers are possible after midnight and before dawn.
Sunday will become partly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 50s and a 10-15 mph southwest breeze. It will stay mild into Monday. Lows will be in the 40s. A sharp cold front will move through Monday afternoon, and there may be passing rain showers. The temperature will reach the low to mid 50s before the front arrives. After the cold front pushes through, the temperature will fall through the 40s all the way into the 20s by dawn on Tuesday.
Tuesday looks sunny and cold, but the chilly weather will not last for too long as another weather system reaches New England on Wednesday and brings rain showers with highs in the 40s.
