National Weather Service Issues Blizzard Watch

A major winter storm will hit Southeastern New England between Monday night and early Wednesday. Wind-driven heavy snow is likely Monday night into early Tuesday, and that combination could lead to blizzard conditions in a large part of Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. The National Weather Service office in Taunton, MA has issued a Blizzard Watch for all of RI and most of SE MA, except for Cape Cod and the islands. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for the parts of Southern New England that are not in a Blizzard Watch. The watches are in effect from Monday evening through late Tuesday night. See below for details.
