The weather will gradually get warmer in Southern New England as we head into the middle of the week. After a chilly start in the teens, Tuesday will warm to the upper 30s to low 40s with mostly sunny skies in the afternoon. The temperature will fall into the 20s Tuesday night under partly cloudy skies.
Wednesday will be a nice day, with highs in the mid to upper 40s. There will be a lot of morning sunshine, followed by some afternoon clouds. A few rain showers are possible in the evening. It will stay in the mid to upper 30s Wednesday night with a southwest breeze.
Thursday will be quite mild, but showers are possible, especially in the afternoon. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s. The southwest wind could kick up to 20-25 mph in the afternoon. Showers may linger into Friday morning as a cold front moves offshore. It will be relatively mild on Friday, with highs near 50.
Cooler weather is ahead for this weekend. Highs will be in the low 40s with partly cloudy skies and northeast breeze on Saturday. Sunday will bounce back into the mid 40s with a decent amount of sunshine.
