Increasing Sunshine on Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day will begin with clouds and fog in Southeastern New England. The temperature will be in the mid to upper 50s at dawn. A developing southwest wind and warming temperatures will help to scour out the clouds by mid to late morning. The afternoon looks mostly sunny, with low clouds and fog lurking not too far from the coast. Highs will be near 80 inland, and closer to 70 at the coast. The southwest breeze will be 10-20 mph in the afternoon.

Warm and muggy weather is likely early next week. Monday may begin with more clouds and fog before skies become partly to mostly sunny. Highs will be near 80 again away from the coast. It will be closer to 70 at the coast as the southwest wind continues.

A cold front moving through on Tuesday could scare up a few showers, but it will not be a washout. In fact, many places will likely not see any appreciable rain. Highs will be in the 70s on Tuesday. The middle of next week looks great. Wednesday will become mostly sunny with highs in the 70s and lower humidity.

Thursday looks clear, dry, and mild. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s, lows will be in the mid to upper 40s. Friday will also be a nice day, with plenty of sunshine, and highs close to 70.
