Showers Tuesday; Warmer Weather Ahead

An approaching cold front will kick off scattered showers and thunderstorms on Tuesday in Southeastern New England. It does not look like a total washout, and it will be mostly cloudy when it is not raining. It will be muggy with highs in the mid to upper 60s at the coast, and low 70s inland. There will be a 10-20 mph southerly breeze.

The front will move offshore by Wednesday morning, and drier weather will arrive for the midweek. Look for plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 80s inland on Wednesday. A southwest wind will keep it in the 70s near the coast.

The humidity will begin to rise late in the workweek. Thursday looks partly sunny, breezy, and warm. Highs will be in the mid 80s inland, and 70s near the coast. It should be about the same on Friday.

Another front will threaten with showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and/or evening. Before the front arrives, the temperature will likely reach the 80s inland again on Saturday. The outlook for Sunday is for dry and less humid weather, with highs in the 70s.
