The extremely dreary start to June will continue Tuesday. The high temperature Monday was the lowest on record for June 1 in Boston, Worcester, and Providence. It will be just as cool on Tuesday, and more showers are likely.
Rain will be heavy at times Tuesday night, and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Rhode Island and Bristol/Plymouth Counties in Southeastern Massachusetts. Occasional rain will continue on Tuesday.The rain will likely end by mid to late afternoon in Rhode Island, and late afternoon in Southeastern Massachusetts. Highs will be in the 50s again. There will be a 10-20 mph northerly wind.
Look for a blend of sun and clouds on Wednesday. Highs will be near 70. After a sunny start, clouds will increase on Thursday. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. There may be a late-day or evening shower.
A few showers are possible on Friday as a disturbance moves north from the Atlantic Ocean. It will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s. A cold front will sweep through New England early Saturday. Showers are possible ahead of the front Friday night into early Saturday morning. There will be a blend of clouds and sun on Saturday afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 60s to mid 70s. Sunday looks nice, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70s.
