Warm Sunshine Wednesday; Cooler Late-week
The threat of strong to severe thunderstorms diminishes quickly by late Tuesday evening in Southeastern New England. A cold front will sweep offshore overnight, and the humidity will fall to comfortable levels by dawn. Lows will be in the mid 60s with clear skies to start Wednesday.
It looks like a mostly sunny day with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. There will be a 5-15 mph northwest breeze. The dew point will be in the 50s – rather comfortable for late June. Wednesday night looks mainly clear to partly cloudy, with lows in the low 60s.
Thursday will be partly sunny and seasonable. Highs will be near 80 inland, and in the 70s at the coast as a sea breeze develops in the afternoon. Clouds will thicken Thursday night, and a few showers are possible after midnight. A disturbance moving through on Friday may trigger showers – especially in the morning. It will be cooler, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s under mostly cloudy skies.
It will become mainly clear late Friday night. The temperature will fall into the 50s by early Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon looks pleasant, but not too warm, with highs in the low to mid 70s. Clouds will increase Saturday night as a storm system passes out to sea south of Southern New England. It looks like the storm will not come close enough to bring steady rain on Sunday, but it will not be far enough away to allow for a great day. You can expect mostly cloudy skies, a few showers near the coast, and highs between 65-70.
Monday also looks cool for late June. It will be mostly cloudy early, and partly cloudy by late in the day. A persistent northeast breeze may prevent the temperature from getting above 70.
