Warmer, T-Storm Possible Tuesday

Southeastern New England received a much-needed healthy dose of rain on Monday. There was more than an inch of rain at TF Green Airport, and showers, drizzle, and mist persisted through the afternoon. It will be camp and cool with patchy fog Monday night. Lows will be in the mid 50s.

The fog will burn off to partly to mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday. Highs will be near 80 inland, and in the low 70s near the coast. An approaching cold front may trigger showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. The best chance of seeing a thunderstorm is away from the coast. The rain will not be as widespread as it was on Monday.

Wednesday will be a nice day. There should be plenty of sunshine with highs in the low to mid 70s and low humidity. Thursday also looks decent, although there will be more clouds, especially in the afternoon. The low temperature will be in the 50s Thursday morning. Highs will be in the low 70s in the afternoon.

Friday will become partly sunny with highs in the low 80s inland, and 70s near the coast. The weekend will start with dry weather on Saturday. Highs will be in the 70s under mostly sunny skies. Showers are possible on Sunday as a disturbance approaches from the west. If you have outdoor plans, keep an eye on the forecast, but don’t make any changes yet. We’ll keep you updated through the week.
