Lower Humidity On The Way

After a few days of typical mid-summer heat and humidity, drier and cooler weather will return to Southeastern New England. The weather looks pretty quiet from Wednesday into the weekend.

TONIGHT
A passing shower or thunderstorm is possible as a cold front sweeps through New England Tuesday evening. It will be warm and muggy through most of the night. The dew point will fall into the low 60s late at night, and the temperature will be in the mid 60s at dawn on Wednesday.

WEDNESDAY
If you have not enjoyed the high humidity of the past few days, then you’ll love what’s heading our way on Wednesday. It will be warm, but not humid. Look for plenty of sunshine, with highs between 80-84°. There will be a 10-20 mph westerly breeze. It will be a great beach day.

THURSDAY
The temperature will dip to 60-65° by late Wednesday night under clear skies. If you cannot get out to enjoy the beautiful weather on Wednesday, hopefully you can make some time on Thursday for the sunshine and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. There will be a 10 mph west breeze.

FRIDAY
A cool airmass from Eastern Canada will settle over New England on Friday. The cool air aloft should lead to at least some fair-weather clouds in the afternoon. If the air is cool enough, then there could be some pop-up showers or thundershowers between 2pm-8pm. Highs will be 75-80. Any showers will fall end by sunset, and the evening looks mainly clear and pleasant.

WEEKEND
Saturday looks a lot like Friday. Morning sunshine will give way to some afternoon clouds. There is a low chance of pop-up afternoon showers and thundershowers. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. It will not be humid. Lows will be in the low 60s. The wind will shift to the west-southwest on Sunday. It looks partly cloudy, and showers are possible late in the day or at night. Highs will be near 80, with increasing afternoon humidity.
