Warmer Sunshine Sunday; Muggy Next Week

Sunshine broke through the clouds late on the 4th of July, and there will be a large dose of it to enjoy on Sunday. It will be a comfortable start to the day, with lows in the mid 50s to low 60s. The temperature will rise into the upper 70s to low 80s by midday with mostly sunny skies. A 5-10 mph southwest breeze will develop in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 70s at the beach, and low to mid 80s inland. Sunday night looks clear and comfortably mild, with lows in the low 60s.

MONDAY
More fine weather is in the forecast for Monday. It will be mostly sunny with highs inland in the mid 80s. The coast will be cooled by a 10-20 mph southwest breeze. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s at the beach. Grab the sunscreen!

MIDWEEK
The persistent south to southwest breeze will bring muggy weather to Southeastern New England in the middle of the week. Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs in the 70s coast and 80s inland. It will be more humid as dew points climb through the 60s. Once again, there will be a southwest breeze. It looks like showers will stay away through the day.

There is a better chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday as a cold front approaches. The low temperature will be in the mid to upper 60s, and highs will be in the 80s. The best chance of thunderstorms is inland and in the afternoon. After the front passes Wednesday night, cooler and less-humid weather will arrive for Thursday. It looks like a partly to mostly cloudy day with highs in the 70s.
