Heat and humidity increase in Southeastern New England through the weekend into early next week. Highs near 90 inland are likely for a few days.

FRIDAY
It will be a gorgeous end to the workweek. Highs will be in the mid 80s inland, and low 80s near the coast. There will be a light southwest to southeast breeze. Muggy weather wills tay away for one more day. Humidity will gradually increase Friday night into Saturday. It looks partly cloudy and mild, with lows in the mid 60s.

SATURDAY
There will definitely be more clouds on Saturday. There will also be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening. It will not be a widespread rain event, but keep your eyes to the sky between 2-8 pm for pop-up showers/storms. It looks very warm and humid. Highs will be near 90 inland. It will stay in the low to mid 80s near the coast.

SUNDAY
Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s early Sunday morning. There may be some patchy fog early in the day. Skies will become mostly sunny by midday, and it will stay that way through the afternoon. Highs will be near 90 inland, and in the low to mid 80s at the coast. There will be a 5-15 mph southerly wind.

EARLY NEXT WEEK
There is a good chance that the temperature will reach 90° away from the coast on Monday. We’re expecting highs in the low 90s with dew points in the mid to upper 60s. The heat index will be in the mid to upper 90s. A southwest breeze will keep it in the 80s near the coast. You can expect hazy sunshine. Monday night will be warm and humid. Lows will be in the upper 60s to low 70s. A cold front approaching from the west will threaten Southeastern New England with thunderstorms. The early outlook is for scattered afternoon and evening t-storms on Tuesday. Before the storms threaten, the temperature will reach the upper 80s to low 90s with partly cloudy skies and high humidity.
