Dry Saturday; Scattered Showers Sunday

Dry weather returns Friday after a much-needed soaking on Thursday. The first half of the weekend will stay dry before showers arrive Saturday night and Sunday.

FRIDAY
Look for a blend of clouds and sunshine with highs in the low to mid 70s. There will be a refreshing 10-15 mph northerly breeze that brings less humid air. Skies will clear Friday night, and the temperature will dip into the mid to upper 50s with a diminishing breeze.

SATURDAY
It is definitely the pick of the weekend. You can expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 70s near the coast, and low 80s inland. There will be an afternoon sea breeze. It will not be humid. Clouds thicken late in the day, and showers are possible at night. Lows will be near 60 Saturday night.

SUNDAY
A storm system passing through the Northeast will trigger scattered showers, and possibly thunderstorms on Sunday. It will not be raining all the time, but there should be some showers in most spots. Right now, it looks like the best chance of rain is very early in the day, and during the afternoon/evening. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy, with highs in the low to mid 70s. Scattered showers will continue Sunday night. Lows will in the mid to upper 50s as the wind swings around to the northeast at night.

MONDAY
Showers will move out Monday morning, but clouds may be stubborn for a good chunk of the day. Highs will be in the low 70s with a northerly breeze. Skies will clear Monday night, and the temperature will dip into the low to mid 50s by dawn on Tuesday.

MIDWEEK WARM-UP
There will be a nice, warm stretch of weather in the middle of next week. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s (5-10° warmer than normal) with mainly clear skies Tuesday through Thursday. Lows will be in the 50s Tuesday morning, then in the upper 50s to low 60s Wednesday and Thursday.
