Nice Midweek; Dry Weather Continues

Fall arrives with more mild and dry weather in Southeastern New England. The start of fall is at 4:22 AM EDT on Wednesday. The temperature will be above normal Wednesday and Thursday before falling Friday into the weekend.

WEDNESDAY
It will be a partly to mostly sunny day. The temperature will climb through the 50s and 60s to the mid 70s during the afternoon. There will be a northeast to southeast breeze. Wednesday night will be partly cloudy to mainly clear. Lows will be near 50.

THURSDAY
Look for a blend of clouds and sunshine with more mild conditions. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s inland, and low to mid 70s near the coast. The northeast breeze will increase Thursday night as a surge of cooler air moves south through New England.

FRIDAY
You can expect a breezy and seasonably cool day. Highs will be near 70 with partly sunny skies. Friday night will be in the 40s to low 50s under mainly clear to partly cloudy skies.

WEEKEND
Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy to mainly clear. Highs will be near 70, lows will be in the 40s. The northeast breeze will stay active between 10-20 mph. Right now, it looks partly to mostly cloudy Sunday night. That’s not great news for those who want to see the Supermoon Lunar Eclipse beginning around 10 pm and lasting for more than an hour. This once-in-a-generation event last happened in 1982.

EARLY NEXT WEEK
A storm of the Eastern Seaboard looks like it will be far enough away that it spares Southeastern New England from steady rain. We expect Monday and Tuesday to be mainly dry with highs in the 70s.
