Seasonable Weekend; Some Rain Next Week

The dry and seasonable weather pattern lasts through the weekend. The very dry stretch will likely end as showers arrive next week.

SATURDAY
Look for mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 60s. There will be a 10-20 mph east breeze. It will be coolest in Eastern Massachusetts. Skies will be mainly clear Saturday night. Lows will be in the 40s.

SUNDAY
Morning sunshine will give way to some afternoon clouds on Sunday. Overall, it looks like a nice day. Highs will be near 70. Clouds will stream in Sunday night, but most in RI and SE MA should get at least a partial look at the Supermoon eclipse between 9:07 pm and 12:27 am.

Clouds streaming north Sunday evening may hamper lunar eclipse viewing.

MONDAY
Monday looks mostly cloudy and relatively mild. Highs will be in the low to mid 70s. Stray showers cannot be ruled out, but it is not likely that there will be steady rain. Monday night will be mostly cloudy and on the mild side with lows in the 50s.

TUESDAY
A cold front will approach from the west on Tuesday. If skies clear before the front threatens with showers, then highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. If clouds are stubborn, highs will be in the low 70s. Showers are possible late Tuesday into early Wednesday as the front passes.

WEDNESDAY
The best chance of showers on Wednesday is early in the day. It will become partly sunny, with highs in the 70s.

LATE NEXT WORKWEEK
Cooler weather is likely Thursday into next week. There is a small chance that a storm will develop near the East Coast and bring beneficial rain. A more likely scenario is for dry weather with a chilly northeast breeze that keeps daytime temperatures in the 60s.
