Long-Range Forecast – October 7
Overall, the weather pattern looks pretty quiet for the next 7-10 days. It will be warmer than normal most of the time, and there are only a couple of rain chances, and neither look overwhelming. Showers are likely on Friday, and there may be a few on Tuesday, too. It will be warmer than normal most days, and those that are not above normal should be near normal.
The tricky part of the forecast is in days 10-14. The northern branch of the jet stream may get more active in delivering showers and cold shots as we get near October 20. There’s also still a lot of warm water off the East Coast, and tropical or hybrid development is possible. At this point, we’re not expecting too much wet or very cold weather, but this type of pattern can be fickle.
