Chilly Friday; Warmer by Late Weekend

Dry and cold weather arrives on Friday and sticks around into the weekend. However, the wind will shift on Sunday, and warmer weather is ahead for early next week.

FRIDAY
Some early clouds, then mostly sunny. Breezy and colder. Temperature in the mid to upper 30s, wind chills in the 20s. 15-30 mph northwest winds. It will be clear and cold Friday night. Lows will be near 20, with wind chills in the teens.

SATURDAY
After a cold start, it looks seasonable in the afternoon. Expect a lot of sunshine with highs near 40, and a lighter breeze than Friday. It will not be as cold, with lows near 30 Sunday morning.

SUNDAY
The wind will shift to the west-southwest on Sunday, and with partly sunny skies the temperature should reach the low 50s.

MONDAY
A southwest breeze means a mild end to February on Monday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 50s inland, and low 50s near the coast. The wind may gust over 25 mph. Skies will be partly cloudy.

TUESDAY
It will stay mild on Tuesday, with highs near 50 and dry skies.

WEDNESDAY
Another midweek storm is possible next week. At this point, it looks like RI and SE MA will be on the mild side of it, with rainy, windy, and mild conditions. The best chance of rain is Wednesday afternoon and night. Temperatures may reach the mid to upper 50s again.
