Long-Range Forecast – May 13

The weather took a turn for the better in the second week of May. A few showers are possible this weekend as gradually cooler weather arrives. The weather looks fairly quiet through mid-May, with a cool start next week giving way to warmer weather late in the week. Some rain is possible in the midweek as a storm develops over the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States.

It does not look like we will have any huge warm-ups in the next couple of weeks, so do not expect instant summer in Southeastern New England. The pattern looks relatively dry, and if the storm does not bring showers in the midweek, there could be a week-long stretch without rain from about May 16-23.
