October 4th Update

Hurricane Matthew made landfall in western Haiti as a Category 4 storm with 145 mph winds at 7 AM EDT on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016. The storm will pass between Haiti and Cuba on Tuesday before moving northwest through the Bahamas as a major hurricane Wednesday and Thursday. By Friday morning it should be east of Florida, and may still be at least a Category 3 storm. It will come very close to the Southeastern United States coast from Georgia to North Carolina before heading northeast and likely passing southeast of Nantucket Sunday night into Monday.
