March 18th Update
A cold and active first half of March will transition to something closer to normal during the upcoming week. A close call with a developing storm on Sunday may bring a few snow showers to RI and a period of steadier snow to SE MA, but it does not look like a very big deal. Highs will be in the upper 30s to low 40s, with no accumulating snow expected in RI and near Buzzards Bay. Look for partly to mostly cloudy skies with a few snow showers possible.
We’ll enjoy more sunshine on Monday, and it will be near 50 – close to normal for this time of the year. Quiet weather continues on Tuesday, with highs again near 50. A cold shot moves in for the midweek. Wednesday looks windy and chilly, with highs in the mid 30s. It will be very cold Thursday morning. Expect more sunshine with less wind on Thursday. After starting in the teens to low 20s, it will be in the mid to upper 30s in the afternoon. The normal high/low for Thursday is 50/32.
A storm system moving in from the Midwest late in the workweek may bring a few showers on Friday with highs in the 40s. Saturday will likely be a bit warmer with highs in the low 50s. Some rain is possible on Sunday with highs in the 40s to near 50.
