April 11th Update

A relatively quiet and mild stretch of weather is ahead for RI and SE MA through the middle of April. Scattered showers and t-storms are possible on Wednesday afternoon as a cold front passes through. It will become mostly cloudy during the day, with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s. The shower threat ends by early in the evening, and clearing is likely overnight.

Thursday looks breezy and cooler, with highs near 60°. Sunshine will give way to clouds in the afternoon. Friday will be mostly sunny and seasonable, with highs in the mid 50s to near 60. The temperature may dip into the mid 30s under clear skies with less wind. Expect more fine weather on Saturday. Highs will be near 60 again.

Temperatures soar on Sunday afternoon

A few showers are possible Saturday night into early Easter Sunday, but those showers represent the leading edge of warm weather that should move in during the day. We’re expecting highs in the 70s with some sunshine. Marathon Monday looks dry and breezy, with highs near 70. It may be a little warm for some of the runners.

Cooler, but generally pleasant, weather moves into RI and SE MA in the middle of next week. Expect highs in the 50s to near 60.
