Heavy showers are possible overnight before drier weather arrives on Thursday. The weather looks mainly dry for Thursday and Friday, with highs in the 70s. The weekend is shaping up to be pretty nice with dry and seasonable conditions. Look for highs in the 70s and lows not far from 60.

Hurricane Florence will rake the Southeastern United States coast late in the workweek into the weekend. The storm brings a triple threat of destructive winds and storm surge, and potentially devastating flooding due to days of tropical rain that may total more than two feet in some places. This hurricane could rank as one of the worst on record for the Carolinas – let’s hope that’s not the case.

Eventually, what’s left of Florence will head towards the Mid-Atlantic and/or New England in the middle of next week. While it’s unlikely to have much wind left, it may bring more rain our way sometime between late Tuesday and Thursday.
