It’s another soggy Tuesday. Rain will be heavy at times through this afternoon, with more showers and t-storms possible tonight. Most towns in Southern New England will get 1-2″ of rain. A few may get 3-4″ with localized heavier downpours.

Expect a warmer and muggy feel on Wednesday. There may be mist and fog in the morning. Scattered showers and t-storms cannot be ruled out, but it looks like a drier day overall. Expect highs in the mid 70s with high humidity. There is a better chance of t-storms or showers tomorrow night as a cold front passes.

The weather looks pretty quiet Thursday through the weekend. The temperature rises from the 60s on Thursday to the 70s Saturday before cooling down for Sunday. See the video for more on the outlook for October in the Northeastern US.
