Locally heavy t-storms will continue trucking through Southern New England overnight. A tornado watch remains in effect until midnight for Fairfield and Litchfield Counties. Some towns could pick up another 1-2″ of rain leading to localized street flooding. The rain threat diminishes by the morning commute.

Thankfully, there’s a mainly dry and quiet stretch of weather ahead for the next week or so. The next chance of rain is a scattered shower or t-storm Thursday night as a cold front sweeps through. The only two cool days in the next 8 days will be Friday and Saturday with highs in the 60s. It looks like every other day at least reaches the 70s, and a few may get to 80 or warmer.
