An early-season winter storm brought a slug of heavy snow to most of Southern New England late Thursday before changing to sleet and rain overnight. Many towns received 4-8″ of snow in a 4-6 hour period between late-afternoon and midnight. The storm was followed by sleet and then rain late at night. Rain continued Friday morning with temps in the 30s to low 40s. Below are snow totals aggregated by the National Weather Service from various sources.
