A weak disturbance brings light snow, mix, and rain late tonight into early Tuesday. A coating-1″ of snow is possible inland, with little, if any, accumulation near the coast where it will be warmer. The best bet for the coating-1″ of snow is between 4-8 am.

A few rain showers are possible in the afternoon as the temperature climbs above freezing by 9 am in most spots, and into the low 40s during the afternoon. It will stay relatively mild Tuesday night through Wednesday. The temperature will not fall below freezing until late Wednesday evening. A few rain showers may pass through Tuesday night. It looks mainly or all dry on Wednesday.

Colder weather arrives on Thursday with a gusty wind. Highs will be in the 30s. Expect mainly clear and cold weather Friday and Saturday with temps in the 20s to low 30s during the day and teens at night.

I am still watching for a possible storm late in the weekend. Odds still favor a miss, but it’s way too soon to write it off. There’s plenty of cold air around, and a storm track slightly north of the model consensus brings the potential for accumulating snow.
