March 16 – Update

Thunderstorms have moved away and the weekend is off to a nice, but breezy, start. Look for sun and clouds with a gusty wind on Saturday. The westerly breeze will be between 15-25 mph for most of the day. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s, turning cooler late in the afternoon. The temperature will dip below freezing under clear skies by late Saturday night. Look for lows between the mid 20s inland and 30 near the coast.

Sunday looks cooler, but not as windy, with highs in the low 40s. There will be a 10-15 mph westerly breeze. A weak disturbance passing by late Sunday night into Monday morning could bring a few snow showers or flurries. At this point, I’m not expecting any impact. Lows will be in the 20s again Sunday night. That is a bit cold for mid-March. The normal low is in the low 30s near the coast and in the I-95 corridor, and in the upper 20s inland. Monday afternoon looks partly cloudy with highs in the low 40s.

GFS model shows minimal rain through next weekend

Seasonably cool and dry weather continues through the midweek. Expect lows in the 20s and highs in the low to mid 40s Tuesday and Wednesday. It gets warmer on Thursday with highs possibly reaching the low 50s. I am watching for a storm off the Eastern Seaboard late in the week. Right now, it looks like a miss and the odds favor dry mainly weather continuing through next weekend.

**Note** – I am traveling with my family this week and will likely have fewer updates on the site. If the forecast changes and it looks stormy, I will be on it .
