Florence’s remnants are bringing heavy downpours and thunderstorms to Southern New England today. Expect the rain to continue, and probably get heavier/steadier in CT, RI and E MA this afternoon. The heavy rain threat ends early this evening, with lighter showers possible late at night through about 8 a.m. Wednesday – especially in RI and E MA.

The next few days look dry and seasonably cool, with some clouds and highs in the 60s to low 70s. It will be more comfortable at night with lows in the 50s. A mainly dry stretch of weather is likely through the weekend. It will briefly get muggy on Friday before pleasant weather arrives Saturday and Sunday.
