Showers Linger Through the Midweek

The storm that brought 1.5-3.0″ of rain to Southern New England will still be close enough to bring a few rain showers on Wednesday. It will be damp and dreary with mist and drizzle Tuesday night. Lows will be near 40. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s.

It will gradually turn colder Wednesday night into Thursday. Scattered rain and snow showers are possible Wednesday night as the storm spins over northern New England. Lows will be in the low 30s. A few lingering snow showers are possible on Thursday. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30s.

The weather looks quiet from Friday through the weekend. It will be partly cloudy on Friday with lows in the mid to upper 20s, and highs in the low 40s – just about normal for mid-December. Saturday should be about the same. There will be clouds and sun, and highs in the low 40s. Sunday may feature a bit more sunshine, with temperatures in the same ballpark – low 40s in the afternoon.

A dry and seasonable weather pattern will most likely continue into early next week.
