Spring will begin with more unseasonably cold weather in Southern New England. Snow showers will linger Saturday morning as a storm system moves off the coast. It will become partly cloudy in the afternoon, with highs in the low 40s. A strong cold front will pass by Saturday night, and colder weather arrives Sunday. Passing rain showers or snow squalls are possible Saturday evening.
The temperature will dip into the mid to upper 20s by dawn Sunday. It will feel 10-15° colder because of a gusty northwest wind. There will be plenty of sunshine on Sunday, but it will not warm up much. Highs will be in the low to mid 30s. Winds may gust to 40 mph on Sunday.
The weather looks dry and cool early next week. The temperature will dip into the upper teens to low 20s by dawn Monday. It will be a sunny day, with highs only in the 30s. Monday night looks cold and dry.
Tuesday will not be quite as cold, with highs in the low to mid 40s. Wednesday should be the nicest day of the week. Look for mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to upper 40s. It will get milder on Thursday, but a cold front will bring rain showers during the day. Lows will be in the 30s, and highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s.
Rain will move offshore on Friday, and more cool weather follows. Highs will be in the 40s Friday and Saturday.
