A cold front swinging through New England on Friday will trigger scattered showers in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts on Friday. There is not a major shower/storm threat, and many places will likely stay dry. Highs will be near 80 inland, and in the 70s at the coast. The slight shower threat continues until around 9 pm before skies clear after midnight.
The weekend will begin with pleasant weather on Saturday. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s in the morning. it will be partly to mostly sunny through midday. Highs will be in the mid 70s with increasing late-day clouds.
A few showers are possible late Saturday night as what’s left of Tropical Storm Bill gets caught by a disturbance moving west to east across the United States. Lows will be in the upper 50s to low 60s. The best chance of dry weather on Sunday is in the morning. Skies will be mostly cloudy, and the temperature will climb into the mid to upper 60s. Showers or steady rain will arrive in the afternoon, and there could be some heavy downpours.
The rain threat diminishes Sunday night, and Monday will be a nice summer day. Highs will reach the low to mid 80s inland, and it will be in the 70s near the coast. A spotty shower is possible on Tuesday before a return to sunshine in the afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s to low 80s. The weather looks quiet in the middle of next week.
