Hot and Humid Wednesday
The very warm start to September continues on Wednesday. It will stay hot and humid on Thursday before a brief cool-down arrives Friday into Saturday.
WEDNESDAY
Look for plenty of sunshine and highs near 90 inland. A southwest breeze will keep it 5-10° cooler near the coast. The dew point will be in the mid to upper 60s, making it feel pretty uncomfortable. Wednesday night will be clear to partly cloudy with patchy fog. Lows will be in the mid to upper 60s on Thursday morning.
THURSDAY
A cold front will approach on Thursday, triggering scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Before the front arrives, skies will be partly cloudy, and highs will be near 90 inland. It will be cooler near the coast. Humidity will be high with a southwest breeze. Showers and thunderstorms will be scattered as the front passes Thursday night. The rain threat diminishes by early Friday morning. The temperature will fall into the mid 60s by dawn on Friday.
FRIDAY
It will turn much less humid on Friday with a northeast breeze. Skies will be partly sunny, and highs will be in the mid to upper 70s – closer to normal for this time of the year. Friday night looks mainly clear and seasonable. Lows will be in the mid to upper 50s.
LABOR DAY WEEKEND
Saturday will be a gorgeous day, with plenty of sunshine, and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. It will not be a humid day. The temperature will fall into the mid 50s to low 60s by dawn on Sunday under clear skies. Sunday looks beautiful, too. Skies will be mostly sunny, and the high temperature will be in the low to mid 80s. It will start to get a bit more humid, but should not be oppressive. Labor Day looks like a hot one. Expect mostly sunny skies, and highs in the upper 80s to low 90s inland. It will be in the 80s near the coast.
MIDWEEK
The heat and humidity are staying around through at least Tuesday, and possibly longer. Highs inland will be near 90. It will be in the 80s at the coast. Overnight lows will be in the mid to upper 60s with humid conditions.
